Formula & Method

Volume is Vcf=L⋅W⋅d12V_{cf}=L\cdot W\cdot\frac{d}{12} and Vcy=Vcf27V_{cy}=\frac{V_{cf}}{27}. Material weight is Wlbs=Vcy⋅ρmaterialW_{lbs}=V_{cy}\cdot\rho_{material} and Wtons=Wlbs2000W_{tons}=\frac{W_{lbs}}{2000}.

Notation used in the formulas: RR = Cubic Yards Needed; x1x_{1} = Area Length; x2x_{2} = Area Width; x3x_{3} = Depth; x4x_{4} = Material Type.
